Hi Spencer, so sorry to hear youre leaving but pleased to see you will remain a part of scouting through Jordan Heights. Just wanted to say thank you for all your help over the time I have been involved with 34th, but also thanks on behalf of Richard as well, for all your support while he was a member of 34th all those years ago Kate x

Spencer, Thank you for letting me know. Sorry to hear of your decision but fully understand. I and I am sure Jon appreciate the lengthy notice. I will leave it with the 34th GSL & Leader team to decide on a replacement ESL, but it goes without saying that your boots will be tough to fill. Thank you Spencer, Best regards Adrian Jackson DESC

Spencer, I do very much regret your decision given the terrific job you have done for both Explorers and 34th over so many years. That said, no one could question the commitment and dedication you have shown for so long. It is also good to hear that you are continuing with Scouting in other ways. As Adrian also mentioned, providing several months notice is also extremely helpful in terms of giving us a little bit of time to try and get the section stable enough to continue beyond the summer.Thank you again. Regards, Jon Group Scout Leader 34th Reigate Scout Group

I am very saddened to hear and see this evening that you've decided on leaving Scouting at 34th, knowing and having seen you helping us all in our roles and doing more than anyone behind the scenes! Which most parents don't acknowledge! I've in my time at 34th seen just how you've helped mould the group, year on year! Whilst having given so much to the growth and experience offered our young people throughout all sections at 34th, thank you! However your skills and experience will be heavily drawn on in District and your work as a warden of the campsite remains the back bone to us having a District campsite locally for Scouting into the future! All the best! Keith Mackie Assistant District Commissioner (Development) for Reigate

Hi Spence, long time no talk. Saw your list there and wanted to say how much of a positive impact you had on me and I'm sure many many others. I'm really glad to see that you are now warden of Jordan Heights - a great site which I'm sure will only get better with you at the helm. I and also a site warden although it is a caravan site and not a scout site, I understand the commitment required when taking on such a role. Wish I could be there on 19th July but unfortunately that is my busiest time of year. I really hope you find as dedicated a replacement for scout leader at the mighty mighty 34th!

Take a bow! I never thought this day would come. But fair play to you mate. Your commitment, passion and enthusiasm has been second to none. Well done for everything you have achieved. A massive thank you from me and everyone else that has been involved with the 34th during your reign. Awesome memories!

Thank you for everything Spencer Mitchell, I honestly think scouts was the best thing I did as a child! You made that scout troop the amazing success it was and I'm still close friends with many of the lads I went to the 34th Meadvale with.

A tremendous innings, I must say. You will be a big miss to the 34th, I am sure.

Hi All Well I have done it. I have resigned from the 34th Reigate (Meadvale) after over 36 years helping in all sections and the Explorers for the last 12 years. I will be going after Summer Camp to the IOW in July this year. I will be staying in Scouting as I am Warden of Jordan Heights Scout Camp site in Reigate (Where I teach Archery and Shooting) and will be helping at District events in the future. We have our group Fayre on Saturday 19th July in Meadvale and it would be great to see as many of you as possible , would be great to see all the ex Queen Scouts and Chief Scouts from years gone by. All the best Spence
