Jordan Heights Scout Camp Site Reigate

Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th July 2015

After spending 37 years with the 34th Reigate (Meadvale) Scout Group ,Spencer Mitchell has moved on to continue
Scouting in other roles, one being Warden of Jordan Heights Scout Camp site.

We ran a special Reunion Camp to celebrate the 34th Reigate (Meadvale) on Saturday 18th July till Sunday 19th July  at Jordan Heights scout Camp site in Reigate. We had a fantastic turn out with over 30 people attending including
ten Queen Scouts (The Highest Award in Scouting) we had people come from as far afield as Sheffield and Dorset. We had a massive BBQ and catch up time then a look back at lots of pictures going back through the years and some memorabilia. Next up was a large camp fire with lots of songs and a time for everybody to say where they were now and what they were doing. Its amazing that
the most popular job with the ex members is as a teacher. Much time was then spent chatting catching up and recalling all the great memories from activities Camp and especially Summer Cam to places like Switzerland, Austria and Czech Republic. The camp continued with people sleeping in the building, in tents and even some out in hammocks under bashers true Ray Mears style. In the morning a large cooked breakfast on a wood fire was enjoyed and some shooting finished the reunion off.
